I have spent my day browsing blogs and getting caught up on my favorites. There are some blogs I check on pretty much everyday. The Mommyhood Memos is one of my most favorite blogs. Adriel touches on so many wonderful topics, I am learning a lot from her, even if she isn't really aware she is teaching me, lol. I am a fairly young blogger, and I am not always good about keeping up with my posting, and these women give me something to strive for. A blog of substance, meaning, a blog that has an impact. In keeping with her stellar blogging, Adriel wrote a post and highlighted a blog she really enjoys, after reading the post, I had to check it out.
All I can say is wow, I not only read the post that was linked, I read about six others as well. New to my list of must reads is Enjoying the small things by Kelle Hampton. I think everyone should go over and at least read her post about her second daughters birth. Read it here. Her writing is so touching, and her honesty and bravery are amazing! I had tears while reading this post, the emotion and love in her writing is inspiring. Reading her blog has really made me stop and think about things that most people really don't give much thought. Her youngest daughter was born with Down Syndrome, and reading her writing has brought home some things that are very close to my heart. I spent quite a bit of time some years ago, with a little girl who had Down Syndrome. She was quite possibly one of the funniest, most loving little girls I have ever had the honor of meeting. She was witty, and beautiful, and had a light in her like nothing I had ever seen. So thank you Kelle, for sharing your life with us, your writing is really a gift!
TGIF!!! Hope you all have a beautiful, relaxing weekend!
Wow Angel, thank you so much for your generous and kind words. You are so sweet and so encouraging! It's wonderful to hear that my blog is impacting you in a positive way. That really means a lot to me. Thanks so much for letting me know. I'm grateful and honored! (I'm glad you found Kelle's blog too - she is amazing and inspiring!) xx
